| español Welcome! I am Angélica Figueroa a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My goal is to help my clients understand the roots of their mental health challenges and unearth the healing strength of addressing trauma. My approach to providing therapy is a collaborative approach. I will walk the journey to healing with you. Therapy is focused on treating the trauma via the use of evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and other therapies.
Most of the work I do involves working with Latino adults. I have worked with clients who seek support for trauma, anxiety, family dynamics, grief and loss, adjustment to motherhood, and depression.
We will talk and walk the journey related to the impact that social, emotional, and environmental stressors can cause on our mental health. We will discuss expectations of therapy and how your current coping skills need additional support.
