Navigating this journey that we call life can be both challenging and complex at times. And when we've finally made the decision to seek support along this journey, it can be even more challenging to find someone whom you feel truly listens and supports you. As a person-centered therapist, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic space for clients to show up as they are. And by using a strengths-based approach of DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, I strive to support my clients in gaining the necessary coping skills to thrive in their lives.
I support teens and adults through a variety of struggles such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, trauma, and cultural identity exploration. I also assist couples in improving their communication skills and conflict resolution skills, and I help couples rebuild their trust, connection and intimacy with each other.
I know that seeking help can be daunting. And as a first-generation, Latinx therapist that comes from a culture where mental health is still stigmatized, I also understand how culture plays a role in this process.
