I have been practicing social work since 2012 in a multitude of scenarios, to include psychotherapy, child welfare and mental health, and emergency medicine. I specialized in trauma-informed approaches and psychoeducation to assist my clients with being informed about their challenges and limitations. I am no stranger to any mental or emotional issue, but I work very well with LGBTQIA+ clients, disabled and chronically ill, culturally diverse, socioeconomically challenged populations, as well as many others.
I am primarily focused on trauma-informed care and trauma-focused interventions, however I recognize the uniqueness of the individual who presents to therapy sessions. I am empowerment-based and value holistic treatment because a person is more than their mental and emotional challenges.
The therapeutic relationship is very significant, and no relationship can be successful without trust, respect, and good communication. I want to make sure we work well together before delving too deeply in the difficult. I’m here to help, though, so all you have to do is ask. Looking forward to meeting y’all!
