Working through change and finding the path towards happiness and wellness is unique to the individual and can often be a challenging task. I approach each client as a whole person, taking into consideration biology, culture, spiritual connections, supports, thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I work to create a space that is compassionate and safe, and we move at a pace that is comfortable to you. My approach is strength-based and looks to help you build confidence and resilience. I have over 12 years of experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and other difficult life situations.
My hope is to support you in learning how to take a deeper look at thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are getting in the way of you reaching your goals and developing healthier patterns that will support wellness. In order to accomplish this, I draw on elements of several counseling styles including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
