In life, there are many obsticles that we have to face. Sometimes we just need to find different coping strategies to help us change the things that aren't working in our life. My belief is that everyone has the innate capacity for personal growth. Fostering individuals to obtain a healthier understanding of themselves and their emotional world is part of my job. Counseling offers us the opportunity to identify the factors that contribute to difficulties and to deal effectively with the psychological, behavioral, interpersonal and situational causes of those difficulties.
Common issues for which individuals seek counseling include: Family Issues, Relationship issues, Developmental Issues), Depression, Gender Concerns, Sexuality Concerns, Career Uncertainty, Physical, Emotional or Sexual Abuse, Physical Problems, Grief, Alcohol or Substance Abuse, Eating Disorders and Body Image Issues, Depression, Anxiety and Sleep Concerns.
Still unsure if you are wanting to meet with a mental health professional? Please contact me directly at 303-353-9226 to discuss how I can help support you through your life transitions.

Angela Schubert's Groups

Women and Anger Expression Group

Females of all ages are socially conditioned to believe they must be the caregivers, the nurturing figure, the calm force; and contrarily, females are discouraged from expressing negative feelings including anger both outwardly and physically. Anger is a natural emotion and very much part of the human experience. It is when females are tasked with ignoring and suppressing anger that they lose the ability to understand and express their anger in a healthy way. This group aims to help members create space for their anger, learn about their anger, and express their anger in a healthy and powerful way.
