I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families, in a variety of mental health settings including: hospitals, private practice, therapeutic day schools, and community mental health. I specialize in the treatment of Mood, Personality, Trauma and Attachment disorder. My special interests include Attachment Disorder, ADHD, Issues regarding Divorce, Adoption Issues, Personality Disorders, Parent Education/Training, Post-Partum Depression and Transgender issues.
I view each one of my cases as unique and my approach to therapy is based on the needs of the client. I am a huge proponent of Mindfulness based interventions. I am EMDR certified and conceptualize cases from a psychodynamic perspective and incorporate specialized treatments such as Sensorimotor PsychoTherapy, Mindfulness, Trauma and Attachment.
I can't emphasize enough the importance of the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist. I believe it is this unique relationship that fosters the clients growth, insight, self-awareness and overall success in treatment, as well as, influences the clients ability to establish and maintain healthy relationships with others.
