Finding your way to therapy can be a challenge. Even getting this far shows self-awareness, courage, motivation, and the ability (as slight as it may be) to consider that things could be different. Together, we can discover your goals for therapy and how I can help you achieve them. I work from a client centered model and highly value trust within the therapeutic relationship. I would describe my therapeutic style as nonjudgmental, empathetic, and direct. I often find that humor and levity can also bring surprising depth to sessions. I work with children, teens, and adults. Currently, I have openings for preteens, teens, and adults.
As your therapist, I will provide you with a safe place to share and process past or current traumas, fear, anxiety, grief and sadness, or any other feelings. Creating a space in your life to focus on your own healing and growth will allow you to continue to show up more fully in other areas of your life. Life is not easy, but you can do hard things.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialization in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation. I utilize techniques from multiple modalities such as; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapy.
