We often come to know ourselves through relationships; not only from our family, but by relating to our peers. Things like going to college, break-ups & make-ups (friends too), & figuring out your gender identity & sexuality can be extremely challenging. The good news: living authentically is worth every bump in the road to get there.
As a therapist, I challenge systems of oppression by guiding folks to unlearn harmful messages that have been internalized, knowing individual change is never linear. Maybe you’ve been using substances to feel better & it's not working, or are afraid to tell your family you’re Queer. Wherever you’re at, I look forward to meeting you there to create change.
