Angela Dickson graduated with her MSW from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist with more than 15 years of experience specializing in Women's Issues, including: mood disorders, trauma, chronic health issues, relationships, parenting, maternal mood disorders and perinatal loss. Angela has provided services to women with high-risk pregnancies, birth anomalies, autoimmune diseases and utilizes a cognitive behavioral therapy approach, solution-focused and creative modalities including narrative therapy, art and play therapy.
Angela has provided counseling and guidance for those who are considering bariatric surgery and other types of body altering surgeries. She has been a faculty member at the University of Oklahoma and Rose State College; teaching social work and medical students.
She is a certified mental health professional in: Maternal Mental Health, Perinatal Loss, and Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband of 17 years, her 4 children and her dog, Princess. She enjoys going to movies, playing board games and baking.
