My approach to treating OCD is collaborative. You are the specialist when it comes to your experience with OCD; I am the trained specialist in treating OCD. Together, we will work from our areas of specialty to overcome your OCD. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of these conditions enables us to diagnose and treat them properly. We have received training in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP) therapy—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
When you start with NOCD, you'll work with me or be paired with a therapist in our network, based on your preferences. At NOCD, we’ll work to get to know you and create a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Plus, NOCD offers support between sessions through direct messaging and access to peer communities, ensuring you never feel alone.
NOCD therapy is a process. It will take time, and you may experience some anxiety. Having anxiety is an expected part of the process. Sharing your thoughts can be difficult.
