What a great representation of the internal growth and change we strive for in counseling! For 20 years, I've worked with individuals and families through grief & loss, anxiety, depression, family/work/personal stress, coping with divorce, remarriage, and rebuilding brokenness. I have extensive experience in medically-focused settings (disability at any age, hospice, caregiving, medical trauma, chronic pain/illness) and with aging populations coping with life stage changes.
Why do I do the things I do? Why did this happen? Why do I feel this way? How do I change this? These are the question we explore in therapy. My goal is to guide clients in choosing curiosity over expectation, acceptance over approval, grace over fairness, empathy & empowerment over excuses. We prune the dead branches and nourish the live ones.
