The world is full of hardships and inequities. I believe that mental health struggles are normal responses to harms/oppressions that we, our ancestors, or communities have faced. I also believe that healing is a collective process, & that therapy can be a powerful tool in the larger village to support our journey. As a Queer, BIPOC relationship anarchist, I approach therapy through a lens of social justice and liberation. I enjoy working with people struggling with anxiety, the imprints of trauma, belonging, climate/political grief, marginalization, ace/aro folks, and those seeking to connect back to their core selves & community.
Using my training in Somatics I integrate Somatic EMDR and other Somatic techniques to engage the wisdom of the body in healing. As a creative, I also believe in the power of the arts. I am now training in Expressive Arts Therapy and use Expressive Arts techniques as well. I also approach therapy through a de-colonized, anti-capitalist, anti-oppressive lens.
We cannot heal in isolation. And it takes immense strength to reach out for support. As a therapist I do not have all the answers-the answers lie within you.
