As a licensed mental health counselor I work with adults, adolescents, and couples. I believe that helping people deal with problems begins with a trusting relationship in a nonjudgmental environment. Whether one is an adult struggling with depression and/or anxiety, an adolescent struggling with low self esteem and identity issues, or a couple experiencing difficulty in their relationship, I can be of help. Additionally I work with adults who are dealing with chronic illness.
Therapy provides the support and understanding that enables one to look at problematic areas in their lives as well as the underlying issues that may be at play. Therapy also gives one the tools needed to make changes and live a more fulfilling, satisfying and happy life. I currently offer the convenience of virtual sessions with flexible scheduling.
While my orientation is psychodynamic I will often use other approaches, including cognitive and interpersonal therapy. I have a strong belief that change is possible, and am deeply committed to those I work with. In addition to my extensive training I bring to my work a warm, caring, and engaging style.
