There is meaning in the muck of life. That is the only place you will find it. Once you realize that looking for the "escape hatch" isn't going to work, you are ready to work with your life, not against it. These days, it seems like many of the things that we have taken for granted are proving to be unstable. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, and frustrated, you aren't alone. You aren't "doing it wrong". We all need help. No one gets "extra points" for getting through life with the least amount of support. I would love to chat with you about your hopes and fears and to begin finding a better way through the muck.
I have been very fortunate to have received extensive training in many of the best, evidence-based psychological treatments for anxiety, depression, trauma, and many of the other common struggles. My “go to” model for therapy is called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or ACT.
The ACT approach is fairly straightforward: Be kind to yourself; Choose what matters most to you; Take action on building a life of meaning and purpose. Doing ACT can be tricky on your own. That is where I come in! I'd be honored to lend you a hand. Hope to hear from you soon.
