This is why my approach in therapy is guided by creating an empathic, nonjudgmental atmosphere where you feel safe and empowered to work toward personal growth and creating lasting change.
I have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years with experience across a diverse range of settings with children, teens, adults, families, & couples. This includes community mental health, outpatient, residential, wilderness therapy after care, foster care, county mental health, juvenile hall, schools, substance use, & crisis intervention.
I take an integrative & depth-oriented approach, combining insight driven processes with skill based & practical solutions. I am collaborative & strength-based, developing methods to identify root causes of issues rather than targeting just symptoms. I am systems oriented, looking at the role of the environment (family/home, school, primary attachments).
