About
In our lives we are all trying to maximize our happiness and minimize our pain. Our life situation can feel overwhelming, pain can feel constant, and happiness can feel far out of our reach. Unfortunately, sometimes what we thought would make us happy ends up bringing us more pain instead. I offer support and tools to help you re-orient yourself on your path toward cultivating happiness. I use a holistic approach to helping my clients, which may include a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Buddhist-oriented psychology/mindfulness strategies, emotion regulation, and communication skills training.
I bring over 25 years experience as a therapist to help individual adults, teens, couples, and families to achieve their goals. I have a particular focus on helping people with anxiety and depression, substance use issues, work stress, family/marital conflict, and insomnia, chronic pain, and other health conditions.
I also do testing for and treatment of Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I have an extensive knowledge of psychiatric medications, and I can be of particular help if you have questions about medications, and I can help you to work more effectively with your prescribing doctor to manage your condition.
