My name is Andrew Newhouse, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) currently based in Hawaii and working with clients in Hawaii, Florida, and South Carolina, via telehealth. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, and anger issues, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques.
In my experience, my approach has worked well for both adolescents and adults of various ages. Some of the most common issues people come to me for help are anxiety, job stress, social pressures, anger control problems, parenting and child behavior issues, and relationship and marriage issues.
My communication style is calm, non-judgmental, and personable. I focus on listening to understand, rather than listening to respond, to make sure I fully grasp what the client is telling me.
