Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence based cognitive-behavioral treatment proven effective in alleviating emotional distress and suffering. DBT Skills Group is an educational class that aims to support people in developing coping skills around: Mindfulness - The ability to be present and aware of your surroundings and yourself in the moment. Interpersonal Effectiveness - The ability to build healthy relationships and boundaries so that we gain support and self respect. Distress tolerance - The ability to accept and tolerate pain without making the situation worse. Emotion regulation - The ability to accurately describe and name emotions felt and regulate those feelings.
