Hello! I would be most helpful to a client who is looking for a mix of practical skills, a better understanding of themselves, and to explore what they want from life. I work primarily with adults and I specialize in helping people navigate trauma, grief, dissociative disorders, and life transitions. I am also EMDR trained. I welcome clients who fear that their story is too heavy a burden to share, or who find themselves in a struggle that they feel overwhelmed by. I hope to help you heal as well as to answer the question of "what's next?" with confidence. I consider my approach gentle and direct.
I recognize that "unhealthy" behaviors and coping patterns are ways of dealing with stress and trauma that once kept our hearts and bodies safe. This may involve substance use, anger, disconnecting, etc. I seek to help clients work though the pressures that produced those patterns while finding ways to move towards living the life you want.
