| Español My patients often wrestle with sadness, worries, relationships, or addictions. Demoralized and feeling ineffective, they may find it difficult to understand themselves. Self-blame can lead to worries about unlike-ability and unlovability, or feeling unworthy of a relationship. They may treat others in negative ways they were treated growing up, pushing others away, preventing healing experiences from disrupting negative, unhealthy dynamics. Long-standing and entrenched personality patterns may lead to addictions to substances or behaviors as ways of denying painful feelings and memories.
I do psychological testing, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis with children, adolescents, and adults. Traumatic experiences growing up can negatively affect the ways people experience themselves and others, leading to painful symptoms and self-destructive behaviors. Effective therapy relationships restore belief in oneself, and in others, too.
I do not charge for an initial consultation, whether in person, via phone, or virtual. I am PsyPact certified to provide telehealth virtual therapy sessions in over 40 states. Summer is a great time to do testing or start therapy with children and teenagers, since the stress of school is off their plates; issues can be addressed before they repeat or grow.
