Navigating the stressors of life can easily become very challenging and overwhelming. Working as a therapist for almost eight years has helped me recognize how real this is for many people. Which is what makes me want to offer my services to you in order to help with whatever it is you may be enduring. I mostly work with adults, individually, on issues such as depression and anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, defining and strengthening boundaries, finding a healthy balance in life, identifying codependency and co-occurring disorders. I also have experience working with couples.
As a professional counselor, my approach is naturally electic and draws mostly from person-centered, solution-focused, humanistic, and cognitive based theories. I've had formal training in mindfulness, cognitive approaches, substance use disorders, motivational interviewing, logical reasoning, and moral theory.
One of my strengths is the ability to connect with clients quickly, while gathering important information. At times, therapy can be uncomfortable, as progress requires this.
