Our emotions and actions can negatively impact our relationships with those around us. I approach counseling from a collaborative perspective, in which you, the client, and I work together to identify ways to address your concerns and meet your therapeutic goals. I firmly believe that each client has the ability to accomplish their goals when they can engage authentically in a nonjudgmental therapeutic space. I approach the counseling relationship from the perspective that my job is to help provide a new perspective to the situations you bring to session as well as tools and techniques to help address these areas.
I take an interpersonal stance where we will explore the ways that relationships with others can impact the concerns that brought you to therapy, as well as how these concerns might impact your current relationships. I also incorporate CBT techniques as well as a reality therapy approach to help my clients identify and reach their individualized goals.
I specialize in working with child and adolescent clients and their families but enjoy working with people of all ages. I truly appreciate the chance to join with my clients in working towards their goals and celebrating their successes.
