New patients and referrals often ask me how I practice. My reply is usually that it is up to them! Since I have been trained and have considerable experience in a variety of approaches (cognitive, behavoral, psychodynamic,couple therapy),it really depends on which approach would be most effective and acceptable to them. Because of different personality types, people do not all respond well or the same to only one approach dictated by someones training. Most find this non cookie cutter approach and attention very effective and rewarding.
