My work integrates mindfulness-based therapy, EMDR, psychoanalytic and narrative approaches, and Eastern philosophy. Drawing on my background as a certified yoga and meditation teacher (RYT-200), I offer a grounded, compassionate space for holistic healing, growth, and self-discovery.
I ask my clients lots of questions (rather than giving answers). I am enthusiastic about supporting clients in both directive (solutions-focused) and non-directive (explorative) approaches. I often integrate CBT/DBT interventions into sessions, and incorporate dynamic interventions for clients who are interested (e.g. dream analysis, somatic exercises, etc).
Before entering the counseling profession I worked in the book publishing industry in NYC supporting authors tell their stories and then spent some years working for various law firms (e.g. immigration & personal injury). I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals' authentic expression and am committed to advocating for my clients' needs.
