I am a clinical social worker providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. My areas of specialty and interest are LGBTQ-identified people, kids and teens, and people struggling with eating disorders. I value critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and humor within the therapeutic relationship. I treat my clients with respect and acknowledge that they are the authorities of their own lives. I make an effort to emphasize strengths without invalidating very real feelings or minimizing problems. I collaborate with my clients to develop effective and individualized treatment plans to empower them to make changes in their own lives.
I have experience working with children, teens, and families suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ issues, and eating disorders. Many of my young clients struggle with ADHD and behavioral problems. I have also worked with HIV-positive youth and adults, and individuals and families impacted by the criminal justice system.
