My practice is focused on working with Christians who struggle in their closest relationships and feel overwhelmed by their emotions. Applying biblical wisdom to our everyday lives can be truly transformative, but we often need more focused attention to bridge the gap between our faith and how we think, feel, and act day to day. I work with people who know something is wrong with their marriage or in how they feel throughout the day, but can't seem to pinpoint what it is and what they need to do about it. This is when therapy becomes so instrumental to the believer.
My job is to help people expand on what is going on in their lives, to fully flesh out their struggles. In conjunction with a robust faith in Christ, this exploration alone can be healing, as we don't often give ourselves this opportunity to really open up. However, to create more lasting change, underlying patterns need to be identified.
We will work together to understand where you get stuck in managing your relationships and your emotional life, and how the gospel can transform these places of pain and confusion. Our faith offers us everything we need, but sometimes, we need to do some personal digging to fully incorporate it. This is the role of therapy.
