My name is Andreea Tomescu MA LMFT. I am working in the Mental Health field for the last 21 years. I am trained in CBT, DBT, Strategic, structural, and experiential psychotherapy. I did have the privilege to work with various groups of individuals with ages ranging from 5 years old to 90 years old. Therapy is tailored to the client's needs and wishes. At times CBT and DBT skills are needed, at times problem solving and or client-centered therapy is used.
I do have extensive experience with severe mental illness. In addition, I have been working with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of grief, trauma, mood disorders, relationship problems, etc.
During sessions, individuals and therapist work as a team to provide much-needed support and explore new ways to improve functioning and achievement of clients' goals.
