Hello, my name is Andrea Santana I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Clinical Supervisor. I attended the University of Southern California graduating with my Masters in Social work concentration in Health in the year of 2014. I continued my career path by working with Geriatrics in an inpatient psychiatric hospital providing psychotherapy, and family counseling. I returned back to the Medical Healthcare System providing support to patients in the hospital center working with Emergency Room, Medical Surgical unit, ICU to NICU, Mother and children, and other specialty floors.
I have experience providing therapy for PTSD, Serious Illness/ Chronic Illness, Grief, Loss, Death, Dying, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use, Domestic Violence, Crisis Interventions, Postpartum Depression, Teens, Elder Adults, and life transitions. I enjoy providing clinical therapy services to Geriatric patients, Middle Adulthood, and Student College Life.
I have a soft-natured tone which I have been told by many clients in the field it provides calming energy when in practice. I utilize client-centered approaches and motivational interviewing techniques when working with clients. I have always been the listener and comforter in my role in life with family, friends, and colleagues.
