My name is Andrea Rapanos and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Nevada and working with clients via telehealth statewide. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples and specialize in grief and loss, anxiety, stress/burnout, relationship issues, and medical trauma. I use cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, and solutions focused therapy to assist those I am working with on their path to wellness.
I have spent years working with kids and adults who have experienced some form of trauma - most notably medical trauma. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress/burnout, caregiver fatigue and hypochondria to name a few. I work to help my clients navigate their issues and to build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves.
I have long worked in the field of social services, both as a paraprofessional and professional. I was raised with a firm value of service and have always felt best when I am in the service of those in their time of need. As a result, I pursued a career in social services and mental health to become a therapist.
