I believe that all people have the capacity to live well and to create the solutions they seek. My role as counselor is to hold the light as you find your own way. How do I do that? I create a warm, judgment-free space to be seen and heard, accepted and respected, challenged and nurtured. I offer a space where client and counselor work together using creative expression to make sense of thoughts and feelings and to gain clarity.
While adolescents and teens are my specialty, I work with a diverse group of clients, from seven to seventy years old, with wide-ranging needs and concerns, including anxiety, grief, life transitions, adjustment, school-based issues, parental stressors, and other life events. I am trained in sandtray therapy, play therapy, and solution focused therapy.
My experience as a mother, educator, and counselor has cultivated within me a down-to-earth relatability and dedication to my clients' wellbeing. My role as a counselor is to hold the light as you find your own way. Let me hold the light for you!
