Hello, my name is Nicole Payne, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Nashville, Tennessee. I am licensed to work with clients both in Tennessee and Texas. I utilize an eclectic approach of therapies to help my clients meet their goals. I work primarily with adults in individual therapy who are struggling with anxiety, life transitions, stress, trauma, chronic medical conditions and those struggling with compassion fatigue. I enjoy working with individuals to help them see the strength that they have inside of themselves to overcome any obstacle they are facing.
My approach to therapy is based on the needs of each individual client I work with. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I meet my clients where they are.
The first session will be discussing what challenge or life change brought you to therapy. We will also discuss any previous experience with therapy, and what you would like to focus on while we are working together. It's also a great time to determine if we are going to be a good fit.
