Change is possible. A diagnosis of OCD or another anxiety disorder can be scary and confusing. It can feel like your life is defined by dread, worry, fear, and exhaustion. Much of your energy and time are likely spent trying to present to the outside world as “successful” and “having it all together”. Internally, you may feel disconnected from your core self, your innate purpose and potential, and the ability to enjoy simple moments in your life. Anxiety doesn’t have to define who you are as a human. Therapy is courageous work. I’m glad you’re here making this first step.
My specialty is in working with people who experience OCD. The clients I work with are diverse. I often integrate the science and art of mind-body practices as an addition to therapy. My clinical approach is rooted in CBT, ERP, and ACT and is informed by an anti-oppressive/anti-racist and pro queer/LGBTQ+ approach with a focus on my client’s strengths.
Through our work together, you’ll better understand your experience of OCD and anxiety. Strengthening your ability to choose how you want to live your life is a core part of my approach. You will learn specific ways you can improve your ability to navigate fears that you can use for the rest of your life. Email me to book a free initial consultation.
