Specifically, I have expertise in suicidality, trauma related disorders, and management of symptoms related to depression, anxiety, and psychosis.
I rely heavily on MI and Stages of Change for its distinction between behaviors and actions along with narrative theory for its explanation of how we use our stories to interpret, define, and/or redefine our lives. If appropriate, we may also choose to use EMDR for its ability to disarm highly charged events and/or traumatic memories.
