Hello, I am glad you are here. Searching for a therapist can feel daunting. Good job being brave and beginning the search. In my experience, there is a reason you are looking for a therapist, life can have hard seasons. I would love to journey with you through your current season whether it is grief, parenting stress, life transitions, trauma, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, or another circumstance that you are experiencing. I will work with you to establish goals and then work towards them with you.
I have experience working with individuals and families with various presentations such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or parenting issues. I have also worked with many individuals with a history of trauma. It is important to me to work collaboratively and utilize the many strengths that they already possess. Each individual and situation is unique.
In my approach to therapy, I draw from my training, clinical experience, and my lived experiences. For example, I know what it is like to be a solo parent, and to experience deep grief. Working with someone who "gets it" can be beneficial to the therapeutic relationship. The relationship is important and has been linked to positive outcomes in therapy.
