I personally believe in my clients' innate ability to heal and in their capacity to do so. I have a special interest in working with young adults and couples. I have experience treating those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, women's issues, grief, marital and family issues. I am a collaborative and strength-based Marriage and Family Therapist. I have completed the Level 1 training in Gottman and follow many of their methods. I believe that therapy goals and techniques are based on the individual's and/or family's needs, and I meet them where they are at.
I worked at Rogers Memorial Hospital in the Milwaukee area for 9 years and had focused on working with self-harming and passively suicidal teenagers as well as their families. Also, I worked at a clinic downtown Milwaukee where I received advanced training in marriage and family therapy. Through that clinic, I provided therapy services at a homeless shelter.
