About
Currently Accepting New Clients (updated 7/23/22). I work with individuals, couples & families, ages 11 and up. I follow your lead in choosing what we work on during our time together. I do not view therapy as an "expert" "fixing" a "broken person," but as a relationship between equals in which you are the expert on you, and I provide questions, observations, and information for you to consider. I also see my job as being your Number One Fan. I do my best to model self-compassion and radical acceptance, as I believe that healing comes, not through shame and hate, but through vulnerability and love.
My number one goal as a therapist is to provide you with a relationship in which you can be real, open, and yourself without feeling judged or shamed. Depending on your past experiences, trusting a therapist might be easy or difficult for you. I respect that, and want you to take all the time you need to get to know me and see if I'm someone you can trust.
I'm happy to schedule a free phone call with you during which you can ask me any questions you have, and get a better sense of who I am and if you might enjoy working with me. I know identity can be an important factor in feeling safe with someone. I identify as cisgender, female, and bi-/pansexual. Feel free to ask if there is more you need to know. -Andrea
