Andrea Davis's Groups
Social Skills Playgroup for Children
Therapists work 1:1 in faciliating peer interactions for school-age children with social delays. Groups play outdoors in the yard as well as indoors. Each child has clear, individualized goals which comprise mini-steps toward being an engaging, flexible, cooperative, imaginative friend.
Floortime Introductory Workshop for Parents
Stanley Greenspan and Serena Wieder developed the DIR/Floortime model for helping children with developmental challenges to progress up the ladder of social comprehension, emotional awareness, and cognitive complexity. This 8-session workshop combines lectures, demonstration videos, discussion, and personal feedback to parents via video review of their techniques of engaging their children through a play-based method of home therapy.
