I graduated from the University of Alaska, Anchorage with a Masters in Science, Clinical Psychology and have over 20 years experience working with individuals who have experienced Family Violence, Child Abuse: Physical, Emotional, and Sexual Abuse, as well as Depression, PTSD, Relational Conflict, Low Self-Esteem, Grief, Adjustment, and Anxiety. Additional experience in working with the forensic population, as well as severely mentally ill; Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and Severe Depression. My approach is eclectic, tailoring treatment to the individual and their needs.
Over the years, I have gained experience working with a wide variety of ages with varying issues. I am trained in Psychodynamic, EMDR, Sensory Motor, and CBT techniques. I specialize in trauma, sexual, emotional, and physical abuse, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, women's issues, domestic violence, relationships, grief, and anxiety.
I recognize it is hard and sometimes painful to make the changes to live the life you envision living. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment which is essential to the therapeutic relationship and to the process of change. My role is helping clients increase their insight and provide coping skills to live their life to the fullest.
