I believe that every person has the potential for growth in some aspect of life and that it can be a struggle at times. It is easy to forget that we are the main character in our own lives and sometimes we try to operate in the background. My goal is to help my clients get back in control of their lives and support their growth throughout the process. I provide a collaborative setting in which we work together towards changing behaviors and achieving goals to improve the quality of life and get back into the main character role. As a therapist, I focus on cognitive behavioral therapy with solution-focused techniques.
I have worked in treating eating disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, negative self-talk, and low self-esteem. I have experience with veterans and veterans’ families in developing new coping mechanisms and purpose in life after military service. I use evidence-based interventions with solution-focused techniques.
