I am André James and I am an LPC, NCC, MA. My preferred name is AJ. My therapeutic approach is rooted in a humanistic, person-centered philosophy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in honoring the uniqueness of every individual and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
I work with individuals aged 16 and older who are navigating challenges such as trauma, life transitions, career struggles, depression, anxiety, addiction, and goal setting. While these are common areas of focus, I am open to supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, tailoring my approach to meet their unique needs and circumstances.
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they are free to share as much or as little as they feel comfortable. My primary goal is to get to know you as a person—your experiences, concerns, hopes, and what brings you to therapy.
