My approach is psychoanalytic, grounded within a trauma and culturally informed framework that recognizes the impact and intersections of sociocultural and attachment-related experiences. My primary role is to respect, understand and support you as we explore the dynamic nature of your interior and relational life, working toward greater insight around where you struggle and where you are most resilient. Through therapy, clients usually find that they are better able to identify and work through complex emotions, communicate with others, and gain clarity and resolution regarding long standing relational difficulties.
Within the context of the therapeutic relationship, we will focus on how the past is alive in the present, in interactions and experiences both within, and outside of the consulting room. We will work toward supporting you in achieving personal integration and a deeper understanding of your unique context and development.
All of this goes a long way toward breaking patterns inherited through generational trauma, and opening space for vitality and transformation.
