My approach to therapy has been informed by my work with individuals, couples and families who have experienced varied and unique challenges. Despite these differences, there are common themes and desires: a sense of security and personal growth, resolving conflict, and building love and respect in marriages or other intimate relationships. Parents seek to manage modern pressures, multiple demands, and opportunities for their children. For those parents with scheduled parenting time, they seek a shared vision of their children's best interest - and shared goals in preparing their kids to meet life's obstacles with determination and resilience.
I conduct neuropsychological assessments, testing for learning disorders and ADHD. Clients may be seeking an initial assessment to address academic difficulties. I frequently work with college and graduate students to update testing and refine recommendations for current accommodation needs. Reports provide documentation to be used by programs and licensing boards.
I also provide a range of divorce services. Examples include mediation with parents to develop parenting plans sensitive to their children's developmental stages; parenting coaching to reduce conflict during and after divorce; and parenting consulting to address co-parenting needs, to develop agreements, and to make parenting decisions.
