Asking for help can be frightening but please do not let fear keep you from taking a step toward growth and healing. I view the first session as a chance for you to assess me as well as me to assess your situation: I beieve there has to be a good fit for effective therapy. With this beginning, I then work with you to address your presenting problem. I can help you find ways to move beyond old hurts, find freedom from anxiety and depression, develop relationship and parenting skills, work through sexual concerns, and cope with stress.
My specialty is working with relationships, anxiety, depression, sexual issues/addictions, and college students in transition. I work with individuals, married/co-habiting couples, those who are considering marriage, families, children, and with post-divorce individuals. I have engaged in multi-generational counseling, family- of-origin work and sex therapy.
I practice from a Christian world view but do not impose that on people who do not want it. For those who do, be assured that I can work with you with regard to your beliefs. I have experience working with spiritual and theological issues but work equally well with those who have not spiritual moorings. Evening appointments are available.
