My name is Ana Stephanie Portka– I go by Stephanie. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working via telehealth in the state of California. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety and depression using individualized interventions and modalities to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. I use my extensive training background to individualize treatment for each of my clients and use techniques suitable to meet their needs and goals. I most frequently use person-centered therapy with interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.
In a supportive environment, I help my clients identify and use their strengths to improve areas in their life they are ready to change. My training with the department of mental health exposed me to diagnoses of all types and at different levels of severity.
Having helped clients through crisis situations, work through past traumas, or just process thoughts to overcome obstacles, I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for those dealing with depression, stress, and anxiety.
