I believe that insight, working in the “here and now,” addressing short and long-term goals, and acquiring healthy coping mechanisms are crucial to overcome emotional distress and acquire emotional growth. My philosophy as a therapist is that the clients are the EXPERTS and that the therapist is the one that follows the clients’ lead helping them to understand and solve in a healthy way their inner struggles and conflicts.
I provide a wide range of psychological services, both in English and Spanish. Services include comprehensive psychological evaluations and therapy to adults, couples, families, adolescents, and children. My services include comprehensive Parenting Competence Evaluations and Adoption Evaluations.
I am a bilingual licensed Maryland and Washington D.C. I earned doctorate in Clinical, Counseling, and School Psychology from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 2000. I have more than 30 years of clinical experience providing therapy to adults, adolescents, children, couples and families and conducting psychological evaluations.
