Much of my work aims to understand the underlying concerns that are causing stressful situations and maladaptive behaviors. Through active listening, empathy, and from a non-judgmental standpoint, my objective is for us to create trust within the therapeutic relationship and to work together; creating both short- and long-term goals, recognizing triggers, and creating positive coping skills to assist you on your journey to healing.
I specialize in working with individuals, couples and families on how exposure to trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, and grief & loss impacts current decisions and relationships. My counseling style and approach really depends on the client and what best fits the situation. I will be listening to your needs and how to best support you.
I offer services in English and in Spanish. I am available via telehealth and am licensed in California, Illinois, and Iowa. My desire is to help each person make big changes by doing small things.
