In addition to working with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, trauma & PTSD, my areas of experience and interest include issues affecting Latinx/Chicanx/Hispanic communities, such as cultural stress and trauma, gender, migration, inter-culturalism, language, first-generation college students, and non-violent parenting practices. My offerings include individual bilingual (English/Spanish) therapy services for adults and teens that places emphasis on collaboration, social justice, and holistic wellness. My clinical collaboration is done through the use of psychodynamic, school-based, and narrative practices approaches.
My work is centered around the acknowledgment and validation of the unique experiences and stories of each individual, recognizing that many of their presenting issues are often rooted in structural inequities. I strive to bring attention to individuals’ resistances and resiliencies while providing support for their mental health needs and life goals.
My commitment is to provide services through social justice and equity lenses, creating dignified and safe spaces where individuals can have opportunities to heal and thrive. My clinical work is centered around collaboration and promoting healing through individuals’ cultural wealth in a spaces where their stories and cultural practices are honored.
