About
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to treat a broad range of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as difficulties adjusting to life transitions. Since 2004, I have worked with Dr. Aaron T. Beck, who is regarded as the "father" of CBT, to develop and evaluate CBT treatment protocols for many types of clientele and treatment settings. I deliver these evidence-based treatments in my clinical practice. I work well with clients who seek an active, problem-focused, and evidence-based approach to resolve their emotional distress and life problems in a warm, supportive, and caring environment.
I have developed a rich array of specialty areas on the basis of almost 20 years of clinical, consulting, and research experience. In addition to a specialty in the cognitive behavioral treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, I have published treatment protocols and work clinically with perinatal women, suicidal clients, and clients with addictions.
I deliver CBT in a manner that is individualized to each client's unique clinical presentation, harnesses a strong therapeutic relationship, and maximizes the well-researched cognitive and behavioral processes of change. I monitor progress frequently to ensure that clients are meeting their goals and observing noticeable changes in their lives.
