You are enough. Your life is worth living. People love you deeply. Your existence is, itself, a wonder. A miracle you're even here speaking to whomever you're speaking to, hurting however you're hurting, laughing over whatever. You series of unlikely events. You star-hearted little fiend. You've made a mess of everything. That's part of being alive. Now we will fix it. Which is also part of being alive. You're doing just fine. - Author unknown
Our mental health fluctuates (just like our physical health) and deserves our attention. Many cultures have a long history of sweeping mental health under the rug which can teach us to neglect symptoms (e.g. being quick to anger), internalize negative feelings (e.g., shame), and form harmful beliefs (e.g., “I’m a burden”). Let’s try a new approach, together.
Psychotherapy is a foundational tool that can promote healing. My own experiences as a client have helped me to grieve, manage anxiety, and keep perfectionism at bay. The process is often nonlinear but we can grow/change/overcome. It might be hard to reach out (to anyone), but you can do hard things. You already are. You’re enduring. Let’s do even better.
