I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I take a developmental standpoint and work with my patients around where they have become stuck in their lives. My treatments are highly individualized based on what my patients wish to work on, and what we negotiate together as treatment goals. I have experience working with a diverse range of people confronting issues such as major life transitions, experiences of adversity and trauma, and cultural adjustment.
Some of the problems I have helped people with include lack of motivation, persistent anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, sexual difficulties, and problematic substance use. I often work with people on issues related to identity, which includes gender and sexual identity.
My background includes advanced postdoctoral training at the Austen Riggs Center and the Psychoanalytic Couple & Family Institute of New England. I have worked psychotherapeutically with people with intellectual disabilities and am available to consult about work with IDD people. I am also available for supervision and professional case consultation.
